Kenyan music star Victoria Kimani has signed with Nigerian record label Chocolate City.
Born in the United States and raised between Kenya and Nigeria, Victoria has crossover appeal which should see her become a star across the continent.
Victoria is the first artist to be signed to Chocolate City Kenya. She is the younger sister of Bamboo (also known as Simon Kimani), one of Kenya's biggest rap stars.
The vocalist drew the attention of the Nigerian record label by doing a cover version of the Ice Prince and Brymo hit Oleku.
Victoria is a citizen of the world, regularly travelling to Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and London. She has collaborated with a number of international artists, including Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, Timbaland, Diggy Simmons and Jadakiss. She has released a mixtape, as well as a single called Ayaya. Victoria is currently working on her debut album.
Chocolate City, the brainchild of Audu Maikori, now has eight artists on their books. The artists are: Ice Prince, M.I, Pryse, Brymo, Jesse Jagz, DJ Caise, Nosa and now Victoria.
