Prime Video’s First African Original Movie, “Gangs of Lagos,” to Launch on April 7

Amazon's streaming service,  Prime Video’s has committed its interest in the Nigerian movie industry that has proven to be a multi million dollar return on investment in recent times with the release of movies like brotherhood, king of boys, King of thieves, Bukka Street e.t.c. Bukka street went ahead to gross over 650 million Naira in the box office.  

Prime video first original movie in Nigeria is “Gangs of Lagos,” A  highly anticipated, action crime-thriller, which launches globally on Prime Video on April 7.

Beside Nigerian Originals and Nollywood titles, Prime Video offers customers a selection of popular global Amazon Originals and Exclusives like “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “The Boys,” and “Riches,” samaritan, creed movies and a whole lot more to keep you engrossed.

Gangs of Lagos is directed by  jáde Osiberu, who also directed isoken, Brotherhood, Sugar rush  will launch on April 7 in Nigeria, sub-Saharan Africa, and worldwide exclusively on Prime Video. It will showcase Stars like Tobi BakreAdesua Etomi-Wellington, Chike Osebuka, Chioma Chukwuka, and Iyabo Ojo.

The Nigerian content joins Prime Video’s selection of global Amazon Original and Exclusive series and movies, such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of PowerThe Boys, Coming to America, Samaritan, Creed movies .
