The upcoming movie "The Rising Sun," directed and produced by C.O.L.D, is set to premiere in theaters soon. The film tells the story of a slave camp in Igbo land during the late 1700s, where the demand for palm oil exploration, referred to as Red Gold at the time, was high in West Africa for export to Great Britain.

Based on true events, the movie follows a woman who leads the charge against British tyranny, even in the face of death. Despite her attempts to negotiate with the powerful Arochukwu and NRI Kingdoms, an unexpected stranger offers to help. The question remains: can she trust the son of her own master in her quest to restore the dignity of her people in The Rising Sun?

The cast features a mix of veteran and up-and-coming actors, including Pete Edochie, Chiwetalu Agu, Charles Anwurum, Ebelle Okaro, Uzorimeh, Smith Nnebe, Farielysian, Adaeze Onuigbo, Maximus John, Chioma Okafor, and Snow Whiteey, among others.

Produced by Bakia Thomas and with Rene Ettat as the director of photography, "The Rising Sun" promises to be an engaging and star-studded film
