Lionsgate has just released the trailer and poster for the upcoming film "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," which is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2023. Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins’ bestseller, the film takes viewers back 64 years before the events of the first Hunger Games book, exploring the story of a young Coriolanus Snow (played by Tom Blyth) and his journey to becoming the tyrannical President of Panem.

In the film, Snow, the last hope for his failing lineage, is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the impoverished District 12. However, when Lucy Gray's charm captivates the audience of Panem, Snow sees an opportunity to shift their fates and unite with her to turn the odds in their favor. But as he battles his instincts for both good and evil, Snow must race against time to survive and reveal if he will ultimately become a songbird or a snake.

The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis. The movie is produced by Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Francis Lawrence, with Suzanne Collins, Mika Saito, Tim Palen, and Jim Miller serving as executive producers.
