Airtel Africa has announced that the debut season of 'The Voice Africa' will begin on March 26, 2023, and will run for 25 weeks. The show received 78,804 registrations from 14 African countries and selected 100 talents, seven from each country and two wild cards, to proceed to the live shows in Lagos, Nigeria. The show will follow the format of the global show, starting with blind auditions and concluding with the live shows. 'The Voice Africa' will be broadcast on free-to-air TV stations across Airtel Africa's markets and Airtel TV, and is expected to attract both a pan-African and global audience. The show will feature a high-profile panel of coaches and TV hosts, including Dakore Egbuson Akande as one of the hosts. Airtel Africa's partnership with FAME Studios Africa will broadcast the show.
