Frank Lampard set to take Chelsea training TODAY and will be in dugout for Wolves clash

It appears that Frank Lampard, a former Chelsea player, and manager, has returned to the club as a caretaker manager, taking charge of training and is expected to lead the team in their upcoming match against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Lampard previously managed Chelsea from 2019 to 2021 before being dismissed, and most recently managed Everton for a brief period earlier this year before he was sacked for abysmal performance.

It's worth noting that Lampard's appointment is short-term and will not extend beyond the end of the season. He will be assisted by Joe Edwards and Ashley Cole, while Bruno Saltor, who filled in as interim manager following Potter's departure, is set to leave the club.

This development comes amid reports that Chelsea is in talks with Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann to become their next permanent manager in the summer.

Currently, Chelsea sits at No 11 and is not in contention for any of the European tournaments next season
