He was the star actor in the 1085 telenovela, Tú o nadie (no one but you) as Antonio Lombardo and the Telemundo all-time favorite of many viewers "El Cuerpo del Deseo (second chance) where he played the role of Don Pedro José Donoso.
García was a naturalized Mexican, originally from the Dominican Republic, and became a household name after starring in the film adaptation of the comic series Chanoc. He had a long and successful acting career, with notable film credits such as La noche del halcón, Las tres magnificas, Minifaldas con espuelas, and El cinico. García was also a highly sought-after leading man in telenovelas, starring in titles like Las gemelas, Ana del Aire, Paloma, Ámame, Tú o nadie, Escándalo, and Mi nombre es Coraje.
